The Great Cancun Sunglass Adventure

10 years... How time flies. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by heading to Cancun with Chad and Jill Harskamp who were married the same summer. We relaxed on the beach all day reading books and soaking in the sun. (Right up Jen's alley!) Late afternoon we took the bus into town, shopped a bit and people watched. (always entertaining!) Then.... we ate. Delicious seafood or mexican food. mmmm.... Tom did purchase new pair of sunglasses, after trying on several pair. (The photos say it all!) We missed the kids terribly, but had a great time. Tom and I had the opportunity to go to an orphanage. It was a great experience and we loved it. Anyone going to Cancun that wants to take and extra suitcase can get in touch with me and we can send some stuff along! Met some great folks who spend their extra time devoted to those less fortunate in the Cancun area. All in all it was a great trip.

Breaking down . . .

Well, I'm breaking down and doing it! Swore I wouldn't start one of these and here I am! Someone else wrote they used their blog as a journal for their kids, and I thought that was a great idea. I don't seem to find the time to write in their individual journals, so they can each have this as a record of events! Hope they enjoy my humor (or lack thereof!)
